Do I need insurance?
Yes, and check two things separately: medical cover that includes cycling as an activity, and cover for the bike itself in transit and while away. Standard travel insurance often excludes one or both.
How do I get my bike to Spain?
Three common routes: fly with it in a case (check your airline's bike policy and fee before booking), ship it with a bike courier a week ahead, or rent locally. Trains within Spain vary — some long-distance services need a bagged bike, regional trains are usually relaxed.
What fitness level do I need?
For a moderate trip, riding roughly 100-150km a week for two months beforehand, including a few rides of three hours or more, puts you in comfortable shape. Consistency matters more than peak effort.
How big are the groups?
Small. We would rather run a trip with a handful of riders than fill a bus, and we will always tell you the maximum group size before you book.
What happens if it rains?
We ride. Spain in the shoulder seasons can throw a wet morning at you, and a shell plus a short reroute usually handles it. If conditions are genuinely unsafe — storms, flooded roads, ice — the day is shortened or moved to the support vehicle, and we tell you what is happening rather than pushing on.
What is included in a trip?
It varies by trip, and each trip page lists included and not included explicitly. Typically included: accommodation, a guide, luggage transfers between hotels, and route files. Typically not included: flights, bike rental, and some meals.
Can I bring a non-riding partner?
Usually yes. Tell us when you enquire so we can plan transfers and rooms.
Are you a new company?
Yes. iCycleWorld is starting out, beginning with Spain. There are no past trip galleries here because there are no past trips yet — what you see is what genuinely exists.
Ready to look at actual trips?
Every trip page lists distance, climbing and what's included, so you can match a route to what you just read.
